Tatiana Rivero Sanz, artist
Canadian artist (photographer, poet, sculptor) originally born in Barcelona.
Her photos grow from an elaborate process, which involves creating a whole physical installation. In her studio she first creates one or two sculptures that represent a dilemma, a path for self-discovery. Then, a story develops in which tana dances and becomes part of the fabric of the story, while at the same time taking the photos herself.
So she is at both ends of the camera.
Meanwhile she starts writing haiku poems (in English) that articulate the story.
The photos approach her early life experience of abandonment, loneliness, beauty, peace, order, chaos, destruction, hope, angst… It’s a personal research that aims at understanding “reality” itself, dreams, inner life… with an affinity to physics and philosophy.
