Rose Tanner

Rose Tanner, The Calling, 2016

Rose Tanner, artist

Rose finds her inspiration in marshes, rookeries, lakes, jungles and migrations.   She feels if you watch closely enough you can see birds, dance, sing and express true joy.  The personality of each bird she paints is clearly communicated through the medium of oil on linen, as is the artist’s respect and love for flora, fauna and the environment.  When not depicting birds Rose enjoys painting outdoors and still life in her studio.

Rose’s formal training has been through the Academy of Art University.  She is a student of Daniel Keys, as well as honing her talent through workshops offered by other contemporary masters.  Rose has a solid professional background in publishing and software design, utilizing her talent to develop and promote the work of others.
