“I am interested in the process of bringing to light that which is hidden or sealed within. Integral to my process is the use of encaustics, which aids in both translucency as well as preservation. Drawing inspiration from objects with previous histories, I am fascinated by the remnants that we leave behind and the act of piecing together their narratives. Longing, myth, grief and displacement are themes that emerge in my work along with a continuous quest to weave together personal and cultural dichotomies.”
