Adam currently lives in New Westminster, British Columbia and has been a professional photographer since 1991. Adam’s work has been used extensively internationally both as fine art and within commercial applications. Most notably up until 2014 his photography could be found in four national gardening magazines published nine times a year by Cornwall Publishing. Adam had hundreds of images published in Gardens West, Gardens West (prairie edition) Gardens East and Gardens Central, he also had over two hundred covers of the same titles. Adam travels extensively throughout British Columbia and photographs wilderness areas within the province. Adam’s wilderness photography can be found in numerous calendars throughout North America including five titles that showcase his work exclusively as sole photographer through Browntrout/Wyman calendars. Other notable publication credits include the the highly celebrated book “Planet Earth” published by the BBC, Nature’s Best, Outdoor Photographer, British Columbia and Canadian Geographic magazines. Adam has received several notable awards for his work including several from the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
About the prints
Adam Gibbs is a master printer, both in the darkroom and with digital media. “Now is an exciting time to be a photographer” Adam is currently working with a local photo lab that produces dye sublimation prints on to aluminium. “The results that I am getting from this printing technique are the closest that I have ever come to putting the viewer right at the location when I took the image, the results are stunning”.
