Beginners Workshop with Petra Giffard
Learn to paint a Heron using Acrylic Paint
Saturday April 21st 2018
4:30pm – 6pm
Being relatively new to Vancouver, I was instantly struck by the beautiful nature and wildlife that surrounds the city. I have become particularly captivated by the Herons of Stanley Park. After conducting some research I found that in North America the heron is a symbol of curiosity, self reliance and self determination – which makes it the perfect subject matter for this class!
Please join me for a 90 minute beginners induction to acrylic painting. By following my guidance and easy steps you will learn some basic acrylic painting techniques and will finish the class with your very own heron painting just like this one (10in x 14in).
I am a former UK Art Teacher with 10 years of teaching experience – teaching students aged 11yrs to 18yrs. I am passionate about art education and I look forward to welcoming you to my class!
The cost of the class: $30 (All proceeds go to The Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre)
